Hardcover flipbook, 163 pages, 25 × 13.3 × 3 cm, 2023

By dissecting the 7 seconds of the only moving scene in Chris Marker's La Jetée (1962) into 163 still frames and turning them into a flipbook, I wanted to continue playing with time and memory.

Since my first encounter with the film in 2003, which made me realise I was living in the wrong film genre, I've kept returning to it, thinking about the vulnerability of moments and how meaning flips between stillness and motion, presence and disappearance.
